Leather dashboard is preferable but I bet the G60 gets the textile dash option like the new X3 and iX

I’d like to see fast charging in the 550e like the MB PHEV has. You could probably fully charge the battery in the time it takes to use the restroom. If you’re traveling and would like to start each day with a complete charge, now you have to find a level 2 charger somewhere in the vicinity of your hotel or restaurant and know that you’ll need 3 hours or more to complete the task. Not a deal breaker, but it would be nice to have. Maybe the next version will have it.

I’d really like most of the options that are in the 7, except reclining seats and theater screen. The seats are nicer, leather door panels, massage, B & W Diamond. BMW doesn’t sell many i7s, so I would just put those as a new luxury package in the G60.

Completely agree. the i5 is only missing the high end luxury… add that in and it would be a pretty sweet car.

The thing about it is that a loaded i5 M60 or 540i with a few more luxury features is not touching the i7 M70 or 760i loaded MSRP. It may be closer to a base 740i but I’ve never known a 7 series buyer who is that budget minded. BMW is being a bit hesitant about letting the 5 be a mini-7. I have some problems with Mercedes’ decisions on their E Class interior (brought about by the passenger screen) but I think they did just let the E Class be a more S class type experience. Granted a loaded E class is nearly six figures now. So perhaps it is with good reason.

I5 m60 can break 100k, most are 90s. Should be able to get the luxury.

I’d argue the E450 is closer to a 540i in terms of performance. But you’re 100% on point when considering the top end of the EV G60s.

- Frunk on eDrive 40
- Top hang loading hatch, to protect from snow / ice
- Recessed buttons for windows. Avoiding press by mistake
- None piano option for buttons center console
- Moved and deeper refill cap for washer fluid, for easier refill.
- More battery capacity. Needed especially in cold climates.
- Less icons or group them better.

I got the frunk from Wokeby and it works. I use it to hold the cables that were previously in the trunk.

Thanks for the info. You think it's worth the $300 US or so? Tempting, but I just keep my portable charger in the trunk under the floor. Maybe I could be persuaded though...

If you like having extra storage space on trips, I would recommend it. Plus, the cost to me was nothing since I got it for Christmas along with my TuxMats from my wife. 😂

I would like to see:
-More aggressive fast charging curve at the expense of battery life (give us a “road trip mode”). Current curve barely even touches the 250kw max as it ramps down way too early towards 80%.
-Better material feel on the interior window switches and grab handles, at least for the driver. After all you spent development dollars on the pretty LED light strips which no one ever touches, so no need for bargain basement thin plastic window switches.
-Get rid of the piano black material on the center iDrive controller, beneath the center screen. Or at least find option for finer materials like aluminum or wood.
-Soft closing doors, at least for the driver.
-Add back grab sensors on the exterior rear door handles so car can sense an unlock attempt. It’s awkward to have to first touch the front passenger door to open the rear doors for my passengers. My passengers always look at me funny now.
-Center armrest heaters (like from X5).
-Might be moot now that we’re going Tesla port, but a mechanical spring loaded CCS cover would be nice. The current flimsy rubber plug is not luxurious at all.
-A frunk!
