11/2023 OTA Released
Just got the notice for 11/2023 (US). It’s downloading to the phone and transferring to the car after.

Interesting - I haven’t got that on my end, but I’m going back to my dealer on Thursday for the recall (which sounds like it would achieve the same thing?). BMW works in mysterious ways seemingly.

Thanks for the update. My car has been running 11/2023.47 ever since I picked it up mid-December. Is that the version you see? Or is it a later build than .47?

It’s 11/2023.47. My car was delivered 11/6 before this was available.

Information about the new update
For those folks who have had the 11/2023 update installed, what are the differences to the previous one. Mine just installed this morning and I have not had a chance to look over it.

I had mine updated 5 days ago, but I don’t see any big difference after updating it.

I just got notified this morning that the update is ready for me to download - seems like they’re phasing the OTA updates. I took delivery of mine on Nov 24.

I had it installed OTA about a week ago. Same version as the version the car was already on. No noticeable difference in functionality. My hunch is it contains the pedestrian related recall fix.
Historically BMW releases a new version every 4 months, so the next version would come out in March. |

Linking to this thread here, as I had the ambient light failure glitch for 30mins or so after the update.

Because of the recall, I think that they need to do the update to the 11/2023.47 version at the dealer if you don't already have it. I couldn't do an OTA update either since I got delivery before the stop sale. Since it's a genuine recall, I'd have to imagine that the dealer needs to perform some checks to make sure that it solves the problem and report it as such to the government.
Compared to the version I had with an early December delivery, besides the recall work, the only additional features I have realized is the enhanced road sign and light detection. |

I recently started a thread about the 3 2024 5's in my house and the inconsistent differences between them. There's something I noticed. Only one has the update 11/2023.47, one 11/2023.42, and 07/2023.48 (Won't update, dealer appointment made). On my car with 2023.47, the "Personal" my mode has a different wallpaper than the other two cars. Has anyone noticed that? Was it a 2023.47 update?

I picked up mine mid December with .47
I don’t know if there is anything newer. My phone app says that this is the latest. |

I have 11/2023.47 - I think this is newer than yours. There was a stop sale around December so it probably got updated before delivery. I don’t really care about them if I don’t get any cool fart sounds or better mileage lol.
