Welp…Updated to the latest Software (11/2023.47) and it bricked my Ambient Light Bar smh.

-I reset iDrive: No Resolution
-I Toggled the Ambient Light Settings: No Resolution
-Locked and Restarted the Car: No resolution.

Looks like I’m going to have to take it to the dealer for a “quick” reprogram session. Unless someone has another tip I can try before then. My Luck ….

*UPDATE*

After giving it a couple of hours, I came back to the car and unlocked it, the error showed up again for a split second, then vanished. Then the lightbar came back on. So I’m guessing the error cleared itself.
Good to know for Future Updates.

Glad it came back. After the last OTA update I had in my iX....for about a day or so my steering wheel and seat stopped going up and down for easy ingress/egress. Then all of sudden....it came back.

My Jaguar I-Pace after OTA....rear camera and PDC sensors inactive for a day :-O

OTA, outside of Tesla is not my fav thing!

Just did my OTA and exact same thing happened. Will see if it fixes itself when I go for a drive tomorrow.

…and mine’s restored now after 30mins. I also updated with the welcome light subscription (took me a while to work out what it was) and I noticed that the ambient lighting seems to put on more of a “show” when I get in the car now. Or perhaps it always did that and I didn’t notice. Either way, back to normal.

Dropped the dough for the Welcome lighting and the Parking pro pack 1 time payment. Find out I need a newer phone to make the auto park work now . Still happy with the extras and will get a new phone soon.

Jesus Christ. You're the reason why BMW wanted heated seats as a subscription option. Just you wait. The G60 LCI (or what comes after) will have a base price that is $5K higher and will be advertised as "the most flexible car to buy ever" because everything will be a subscription.

Note that there's a footnote on DAP Pro that it's only available temporarily for 10 years. I guarantee they're planning to charge subscription money for it in the near future.

Parking pro was 220 and lightning 50. They are both 1 time payments just like clicking an option box on your build sheet.
