Massage seats

so I find these front massage seats quite underwhelming compared to my Audi massage seats. They are very weak and slow (even in highest setting). The other issue I have with them is that when I turn on massage of any type, after I turn it off, it feels like not all the massage points recess fully. Depending on where it is in the massage sequence, some area of the seat stay a bit protruded or that least how I feel. I don't see it visually but while driving, I don't feel the seat back goes back to pre-massage state. Is it me or others have felt the same? Also I think having massage seats make the seats more stiff due to the massage machinery inside and in having seen how ineffective the massage is, I should have skipped the massage option

Interesting. Different strokes . . .
I wouldn't have a car without it. Excellent for long trips for my very cranky back. And way better than the massage in my wife's MB E class wagon. I prefer it to be more subtle than aggressive -- but it is also adjustable isn't it?

The adjustment range is pretty small. It has 1-3 as intensity but minimal difference between 1 and 3

Tried mine for the first time and can only compare it to my previous 2020 X5 but the massage function in the 760 is better. Agree it’s slow but with my limited experience I like them.

my two cents:

they are probably scared that it could distract too much...

(for every feature that was thought of five people find reasons that it could be a problem or cripple it)

I also prefer a stronger massage. Open the massage options menu and select “Back Training”. It has a much stronger massage up and down the entire back than the default massage setting.

In general, it is underwhelming but it is still helpful for back pain and fatigue due to sitting in the same position for an extended period of time. I'd say that it "evolved" from the "massage" seats I had in my 2016 550 as they were only slightly lifting and lowering your cheeks one at a time claiming that it helped your spine. Yet, still way worse than the massage function in my MB S580.
