When posting on car forums, leave all feelings at home These are complete strangers and never for the life of me can understand why people take what anyone says to heart? Laugh about it/ break balls back but don’t whine about it and report it. Kinda lame. Man card police are watching. Don’t give them a reason to take yours. Happy Easter peeps 🐥

lol, yeah, all you can hear is tires being absolutely TORTURED. I wonder how many laps you’ll get on a $2500 set of tires?

The G90 M5 Hybrid would speak volumes on the whole "hybridization" thing if it ends up with the fast lap time of all previous gen M5s. And just like that,...many would be instant bandwagon converts!

Many frowned on the look of the G80 M3/M4, yet they flew outta the showroom! It will be the same for G90,...I'd be surprised if they even allowed test drives!

I’ve been looking for sales stats, since BMW doesn’t provide them… I asked someone else in another thread too but nothing yet.

Your quote of the G80 flew out of the showroom is based on some stat or anecdotal observation? If stats, would you please share them? BMW doesn’t make it easy…

I've visited several BMW dealerships in the past month,...and only one had a 1ea new G82. Now, I don't have sales stats,...but what I do see in the YT community that many have really warmed up to the G80/G82,...and many that had F80/F82 moved up to the G80.

If you don't think it's a hot seller, that's cool! Np!

I just believe that despite it's size and weight,...the 700Hp+ G90 will be a Hot Seller! The "Time Slips" will tell...

Gotcha. I don’t know whether it is or not, don’t really have a personal opinion on it, I’m mostly curious to learn, because BMW doesn’t share sales stats and I know they said that they’d be “regulating” the supply of cars to keep prices up (they said that after COVID, saying they’d keep the COVID strategy). So that would also impact availability of cars on the floor (since most cars would be custom ordered).

I don’t think they don’t sell well, it may be selling just right for what BMW wants. Whether that’s selling MORE than the previous models is my question, but a BS question just out of curiosity anyway.

I agree with you the same should apply to the new M5.

While I suspect you are probably right, I also suspect the cross section of buyers will be different. BMW M cars were always about a precise and rewarding driving experience. This new car’s approach looks to be more about “beating the road into submission”, a comment often reserved for their competitors, instead of dancing through corners.

Cool! One thing for sure, Tirerack will love it,...that is, how fast it goes through a set of tires!

At this weight and sound level, it may as well be a pure EV, no? At least it would have a lower CG and more torque.

Numbers sold will be easy to track in the U.K. with the website how many left. There is however a delay in the reporting of figures so it’ll be a while yet but the figures will at least be there broken down in to each quarter of the year

I am no fan of the G60, but brakes glow on hard lapping all the time.

So i’m confused the only way to get the full 718 horsepower is to charge the battery correct? so if the battery is dead and your using only the ICE you only get 577 horsepower?

His metric was his visits to the dealership. About the dumbest metric I've heard considering he doubled down with "the YouTube community." Now while I didn't take statistic in school, I'm pretty confident these metrics wouldn't be part of the circiulum.

Haha right?!? The internet remains undefeated.

That car sounds like a yeast infection. I’ll never look at a BMW again. I’m throwing mine away because I feel so backstabbed that BMW is staying current with the times and trends. It’s not fair!! Why can’t they build a E36 M3 again?!? (All sarcasm for those that don’t get it).
