With the batteries under the floor there must be one of these outcomes or possibly a mixture of all 3?
Less leg room height Less ground clearance Higher overall vehicle height From BMW press - the overall height then ground clearance: 1515mm 146mm i5 edrive40 1505mm 136mm i5 M60 - this would imply the suspension is 10mm lower 1515mm 154mm 520i and 520d So this would imply that the battery sticks down about 10mm more than a normal petrol car would. Unfortunately the press release doesn't list leg room but I'm guessing that some is lost with the i5 versions.
