But i guess if they want to create a forum where talks are held this is a great way of engaging people. Even if its for throwing eggs and pies. I stopped getting engaged by some of the same members posting about how the Grills are this and that or how EVs will never be drivers car and so on and so forth. I am intrigued by the i5 when it arrives as a touring. Sense i have a growing family and will need one soon but don't want to switch to Petrol or Diesel but want an EV Touring car and it has to be BMW! I my self wrote earlier that i think the i5 is a bit generic doesn't stand out so much but this is the more "toned down" look that some prefer over the i4 and such. Its like one of those trends that eventually dies. "I'm going to write the grills are ugly" then get a bunch of likes from the same members all over for that short dopamine kick, the likes in these forums being the "appreciate" button Because some people actually like the new designs witch isn't appreciated by some of the old guard, while the new folks gets deterred from engaging due to being smacked down and told "You are wrong and you are not right to think this" "You have to love the old V8s V12s or I6 and have to love the design of old and you have to hate on EVs and think they are not real cars, otherwise you ain't part of the community" Although not spoken like that but it is implied and you can see it in various post. Then again its not only the forums faults EVs could have been a natural part of the car community just like some like performance tuning some like design changing their cars with body kits and such and some simply like slapping a gianormus speaker system in to their cars. Each and everyone have something they bring to the community but as of late its quite splintered and fractured witch then stops new engagement. EVs are simply another type of car that people like even if it is without a growling engine that wakes the whole neighbourhood. I my self am guilty of this horrible crime of splintering but on the EV side. Thats why my self i am trying to do better even if it gets frustrating when the same old myths about EVs keep spreading without fact checking it. Its like with the Fortune cookies you can't find then in Chinese cuisines even though they are super common in Chinese restaurants but its a Japanese trend and was introduced to the US . Or the old Myth it takes seven years to digest chewing gum, it simply not true it just passes through and out the other end Its not like gum stays in your gut for seven long years. Or a penny dropped from extreme heights could kill you and its simply not true it will sting but it won't kill ya, depending on the size ofcourse.

I guess we are all in limbo between the announcement and actual cars arriving at dealerships and more importantly , people taking delivery.
Until then we will continue to post to fill the time |

the front end looks long in those angles. Not a fan of the decal I would personally prob opt out of that part, but I like the wheels. Def want to see it in person

I'd take the wheels from that M Perf car, ditch the side graphic, paint the rockers and lower bumper trim body color or matte grey, and lower it. |

If not for nothing kudos to marketing team cause the 2025 option for painted rockers at $1200 is going to be a very well purchased package.

It seems to suffer from the same issues as the i4. To acomodate for the huge batery, they just jack up the car but then put the plastic black trim around the base to make it look smaller...just really doesn't work and makes for very odd proportions.

I feel the big reason this car looks …off, is because of the lower part of the front bumper being black instead of body color. Just swallows the whole grille and side vents.
I did a janky 10 second edit (I’m definitely no artist) of the front with the lower bumper in body color and personally think it instantly looks so much better. Thoughts? View post on imgur.com Last edited by Bimmertron; 06-12-2023 at 10:49 AM.. |

Whoever said Taurus is spot on. Though maybe the SHO version, still too much for my liking.

M3/4/440i at least have 3 good angles (save from the front) the M2/240i is ugly but you can love it in time with enough of an open heart and mind. The new 5 is just tragic however.
