I'm glad it opens as getting sky lounge roos is the only way I could get the glass controls.

I was looking forward getting my hand on i5M60, but I don’t know how this thing can compete with comparable pricing model S with 400 plus range( and a functional frunk), i have both bmw and trsla in my garage , and yeah bmw build quality is better but what does determine a functinality of an EV is the range.
If bmw wants to be a serious player with tesla it has to come up with a specific chasis for its EV cars and stop sharing same chassis with its ICE models which results in less room for battery, goofy drive shaft tunnel!, and less luggage space.

I completely agree with this! Placed a pre-order but the low range, the big unknown of how it will drive, and the no massage seat option (this was going to be a commuter car with a 3-4 hour drive between job sites in SoCal traffic) made me rethink and decide to cancel.

Just so you're not confused:

Standard moon roof can be opened.
Sky lounge roof cannot.

Sky Lounge Roof
Bathe the cabin in light with the Panoramic moonroof. Its extra-large dual-glass panels include a power slide and lift control, a comfort opening/closing function, a wind deflector to help keep unwanted breezes out, and a power sunshade to shield passengers from excessive glare and heat.

Did you copy paste that from a different model? Because here's one specifically for the 5:

Quote:
Fixed panoramic glass roof with significantly enlarged viewing area.

A panoramic Sky Lounge roof can be ordered in place of the standard slid-and-tilt moonroof for the first time in any BMW 5 Series sedan. It is designed as a fixed structural module, and connects almost the entire roof surface; extending uninterrupted from just behind the windscreen to almost the rear window. With a length of 33 inches and a width of 32 inches, the viewing area is almost 90 percent larger than that of the standard tilt-and-slide moonroof. This creates a generously light-flooded atmosphere in the interior. If required, an interior sunblind can provide shading of the interior.

This one is confusing. 5 series is supposed to offer massage seat option and rear heated seats, right? It's not available on the configurator.

I put in an order for a pretty much fully loaded i5 M60 (Veganza, no carbon pkg and no comfort seats) for CAD$110k. Given exchange rate it is much cheaper in Canada.

FWIW BMW rates my car at about 220 miles. That's what it tends to get in the dead of winter. Now it gets around 250 - 270 miles on a full charge.

Payment estimators?

Are the payment estimators correct? Estimated lease payments are coming out as much as $1000 more than finance payments.

I confirmed with my center that there is no option for massage seats currently on offer for the 5 series.

I think it's a glitch, I tried an estimate for 530i and lease number is ridiculous for its MSRP, it was almost $2300.

Another member mentioned similar earlier. I guess its nice BMW is rating more on the colder climate side it seems. So hopefully that's worse case?
