I think he meant to say “resent” given it was followed by the F bomb 😂.

Behaves more like an Audi than an M. Looks heavy, wobbly and tyres screaming from understeer - expect all of that to be dialled out by the M engineers.

Brakes get red hot. It used to be a cool sight. Now ignorance is being perpetuated by repeating something untrue and irrelevant. |

You can really see the tires and suspension struggling with the weight of the car.

We all watched the same video and saw the chassis going through the motions and how it responded through the apexes so I believe this isn’t a case of ignorance. |

People have jumped here to say “look at how heavy it is, the rotors are red”. That’s got nothing to do with it. They’re red because they’re hot. The car is on a track. They will get hot. The fact you said “people above him said the same” is my point. A lie being repeated creates more ignorance. As to your point of the car swaying, that’s beside the point. |

Feel free to substitute “red” for “hot” in this discussion. The brakes are red/hot because the car is so heavy in relation to the braking system’s capabilities that the brakes appear to be reaching their thermal capacity. It’s not like every car on the ‘ring has glowing red brakes. It’s notable here; that’s why people are commenting on it. It would be fair to suggest this M5’s brakes maybe should be larger for this car on this track. Perhaps we’ll see that in a CS if it ever happens. |

Besides, “red”, “hot”, “glowing” are all used interchangeably here to denote the same thing. |

Not to hurt anyone’s feelings, but I would not finance this car unless you just got a lot of money laying around this is definitely an M car you would want to lease.
Only cars worth buying and keeping are the CS/ F generation and the E9X M3 generation so forth. Skip this stupid generation of hybrid technology, and just wait for new class. |

threads like these are a great reminder of how some people are so obnoxiously wrapped up in mixing BMWs with their own image of self-importance that they just bicker constantly with other BMW drivers over the dumbest stuff
