I don’t think the leather is bad. It’s the seat. I’m driving an X6 40i loaner today. It has sensatec and honestly it’s fine. But the basic sport seat is awful (for me). I don’t think it’s an upholstery problem, they just need an available upgrade to a multi contour seat like the 5 has.

Yeah, not the leather for me—but lack of multi contour. It’s a game changer and I have back issues.
Also, I’ve been spoiled by the full leather dash and leather on the doors—which it seems is gone for now at least in the G60, too. |

Wow, they have really taken stuff away from the 5 series. No soft close doors, no multi contour seats, no v8. I’m seriously considering the x5 M60. It still has all those things and drives just as well.

The ambient lighting doesn’t even extend to the rear doors. Very disappointed with the amount of missing features.

The more I see how they have scaled back in certain areas for the G60, the happier I am I made the decision to purchase my 2023 G30 540i. This new G60 is just a big no for me.

Luxury seating only on the M560? Don’t see as an option in the 530 I just configured. Maybe they’ll offer for the 540. Still won’t stop the exterior from being ugly and the interior from being downgraded. So frustrating.

According to some, the "multi-contour seats" offered here is a version with reduced functionality.
It's standard on the i5 M60 and an option for e40. It will be available for 530 starting November according to the pricing guide. |

Some of what I’ve seen complained about are things that are questionable for a new model to go backwards on, but not really options I take advantage of either. Like massage seats and ambient light on the rear door. I do think the upgraded seats are well worth it, maybe even a requirement for me going forward. But the massage function isn’t something I would miss. The ventilation is useful in the summer in southwest TN.

So it's actually only 655 watts :-)
Adrenaline, amplified. Set the tone for adventure. Standard on the i5 M60 Sedan, the powerful 17-speaker, 655-watt Bowers & Wilkins Surround System fills the cabin with rich and layered sound. |

then again, the description for the moonroof the other day mentioned an opening moonroof then that changed too, so i guess they are making edits to the descriptions as things are getting caught |

Just get an i7 like I did …. Better range, all options superior to iX, and the xDrive60s can be had 15-25k under sticker, so very close to the i5 which will sell at msrp or msrp+adm at this time if you really want out of the iX. I sold the wife’s G05 45e for the i7 and gave her my iX M60 …. Everyone’s happy! It was the overall aesthetics and lackluster range that moved me from i5M60 to i7x60. The M70 would be my preference, however the BMW team is on methamphetamines if they think the M70 is worth $170k base! |

Hopefully the real diamond system comes out as an option later. It’s my favourite feature of my M550 and a possible deal breaker. |

I also don’t like no spare tire option. I built my 2021 with the spare tire and gives me peace of mind.

Oh wow literally just noticed the new series comes with non run flat tires… why would they make such a sudden change completely against their long standing ethos?

Because runflats suck and people have been bitching about it since the beginning of runflats.
