256 mile range on the top dog after figuring in Michigan winters will be more like 200 ish miles. Not very good considering price point. Needs minimum of 300 in my opinion.

It also seems we can’t spec an M5 yet?

Not revealed yet. Typically comes a year later than the standard 5.

I do miss my M550, but I’m not sure I’d like to give up my iX M60 for one of these just yet. I do miss these multi-contour seats with thigh extensions though…

Big misses on the M60:

*No leather airbag cover
*No alcantara headliner option
*No massage seat option

Not good for my hypothetical $95k spec.

While this is true - my iX is EPA rated at 274 miles, just 18 miles more, but I get more like 330-340 in summer and 270-280 in winter (Utah) so BMW so far seems to be a bit conservative with their EPA ratings.

This is good to know and would be typical BMW. Maybe they rate it closer to the cold weather driving conditions? Either way good that your seeing better figures.

Built and it’s over $90K USD. Not going to be pretty in Canada…

Based on the prior posts in this channel I think we can expect the 540 to be on the configurator in the fall-ish time frame. Built out the 530 with the M-Sport to compare to my 2023 and it just isn't the same...

We’ll, this does seem to confirm no IAS for US which seems odd.

From the description of sky lounge roof:

Bathe the cabin in light with the Panoramic moonroof. Its extra-large dual-glass panels include a power slide and lift control, a comfort opening/closing function, a wind deflector to help keep unwanted breezes out, and a power sunshade to shield passengers from excessive glare and heat.

Does this mean it can be opened?

The base price for the i5 M60 here in Ireland, before you add any goodies is nearly $132,000. That's not good for the car that it is.

Why wouldn’t you be able to open it? You’ve always been able to open it on the 5 Series.

The standard roof can be opened for sure but my understanding is that the sky lounge roof is a fixed glass panel.

Unlike the iX, where the entire roof is one big piece of layered glass, you can certainly open up panoramic sunroofs on other vehicles like the X5. Not sure why this would be any different.
