Well I just got 23 mpg in my X7 40i on a 70ish mile drive. I guess setting the cruise to 90 with a full vehicle and overnight bags has something to do with it.

Played a role for me. V8 was too thirsty and too nose heavy (hurting handling).
So I went with the 540. 340 easily tunable horsepower and 7 liters per 100km is incredible. I would rather ask you why anyone would buy an engine because it is not fuel efficient? Same stupid logic. |
