I want to like this generation, I really do - but it feels like this design direction works much better on their SUVs...bodes well for the next gen X5 but i'm not sure how successful it is on the sedans. Waiting to fall in love with the M5 wagon

If you care about your new g60, I think it will be mandatory to ppf that black section under the doors as they are going to deteriorate quickly with scratches and general muck being thrown up.

Amazing color. Rather neutral about the vehicle.

Exactly my plan. PPF on front bumper, grill, head lights, hood, fenders, side mirrors and all gloss black trim parts.
Still debating if I'll use matte PPF on the gloss black trim and grill.

Everyone has issues with the design.
I'm probably the only one who found the issue with the mediocre performance and top speed compared to the very high price tag that I should pay for the i5 M60.
0-60 is less than Model 3 Performance, the upcoming Ioniq 5 N, and Kia EV6 GT.

Top speed is already way less that all these cars.

Moreover, when I option the white interior, it is only on the seats and part of the doors.
It totally doesn't feel luxurious like in the old generation.
I cannot justify paying $100K for this.

Whilst the g60 isn’t for me, the cost is eye watering comparing at least performance wise if a g30 m550 to a i5m60 , arguably it’s replacement?
Just under £98000 without options is a huge amount even with any discounts that you might get

Now I know most people lease these these days and that cost is hidden because of that but still!

A quick look at the lease payments (pcp) and it’s just under £2000 over 36 months for 10k miles

Wow

The car is meh, just looks unfinished. Perhaps they need more time to refine it.

Also, call me old fashioned- but a 27” monitor for a instrument cluster and touch sensitive buttons are just not meant to be in a vehicle.

I don’t know how much it will cost or its performance figures but I believe the M560e is likely the comparable replacement.

The only reason that hood opens so you can add some fluids. Otherwise they wouldn’t even need to have that thing open

It’s not like it has front storage so it’s really only there for access and the cover is only to hide the electronics

It’s unfortunate they couldn’t package it better and give you a front trunk of sorts
Cuz it's a dual purpose chassis. EV & ICE

I'm not a fan of frozen paints - they make me want to grab a microfiber cloth and start polishing them. I think the frozen paint with gloss black thingies looks weird.

And why does it have two hoods? 🤔
M Sport and their gloss looks cheap.

Imagine if all the black accents were a rich matte finish as well?

I like it, just not sure about personally owning a frozen set up. I think they look super legit but the up keep makes me a little hesitant.

The fake buttons on the steering wheel so you can't "feel" and need to look where your thumbs are pressing instead. such an idiotic move, and i hope there won't be involuntary press just by manoeuvring the steering wheel...

I will have a hard time replacing my f90. I am trying to like the front end design of the new 5er, but having a major issue with it.
