Coolant Valve Stop Sale

My i5 has been in port Baltimore since Tuesday morning but now has stop sale due to defect code 0064230200. I live in southeastern VA (about 4.5 hours away)This shows up when searching Google as a coolant valve replacement. Has anyone had this specific stop sale happen to them and how long did it take to clear?

It has impacted many, but many reported they were able to sign a waiver through their dealer and pickup the vehicle anyway.

I believe the link below indicated that the stop sale is because of the knocking sound that some folks have. I think it was diagnosed as being caused by the coolant valve. Check out this other thread and decide if you want to try taking delivery anyway, or if you want to wait for it to be fixed first.

Was this knocking sound only on the M60? I’m getting an e40. I’m gonna call the dealer today. Unsure if they’ll let me sign a waiver since it’s still at the VPC in Baltimore.

I'm not sure if it was only the M60, but I don't recall any 40 owners indicating they had the issue. That could be because there were not a lot of 40 owners speaking up, or because it is an M60 issue. I would think the valve is the same on both cars, but who knows. I have had my 40 for 3 weeks and have not heard that noise.

Sorry I don't have a more certain answer.
