Are these the size of a Mini?

I've bought large pizzas in Brooklyn and that never exceeded $40 for two.

Wow, were those pizzas topped with truffles and caviar? Large pizza at our local shop is around $15 for an 18" pie.

I normally never think about it, because it's usually just my wife and I. Their pizzas (large size) are all between $18 and $22 a piece. But we had guests, so got two. Plus tax, boom... $47.

Pizza sucks here in NC. MI had so many perfect pizza joints.

I like to spoil my GF and she likes to be spoiled, so that works out.

Usually, when we go out to a nice place the tab is often over $200.

Other times we hit the discount nights at the local pizza place and spend $20

You're on to good start with a more than favorable environment.
Oh, I've always spent a good chunk of my money on cars and modding. My first car was an '08 350z that I got as a sort of early graduation/scholarship present (got a huge academic scholarship to UM). I spent well over $15k on mods (wheels/tires, full suspension, brakes, built transmission, aero, carbon fiber parts, interior, audio, exhaust, etc.) over the years. Sold it a couple of months back. I do plan on saving and eventually investing a good bit of my income, but I also plan on dropping a good bit of it into mods as well (wheels/tires, suspension, full exhaust, tune, etc.) over the next couple of years (or sooner, once I start moving up in my career). Once the mod bug bites, it's hard to hold back, haha. But cars and the automotive world are a huge part of my life. I took my Z to well over a dozen car shows/events a year all over the southeast, back before I sold it.

When someone who tells us they make less than $5K/mo but has $20K in cash to put a downpayment towards a $70K car and spread the payments to 6.5 years to make it affordable, you are obviously spending most of your income on a car.

To each their own buddy, I'm not dissing you in anyway. Enjoy the car!
I gotcha, haha. And most of that $20k was what I got from selling my '08 350z. I'm not spending most of my income on this car, though. After car payment, gas, and car insurance, I'll still have over 50% of my income left over every month. Which I'm okay with, for the time being and with my living situation. Cars and the automotive world are a huge part of my life and a big hobby of mine. So if I'm spending a significant amount of money on something that makes me really happy, I'm fine with that, haha. But I get what you're saying, and I appreciate it, man. I definitely will enjoy it!

Dude, pizza in the south generally isn't that "special", lol. It's just meh. Barbecue, burgers, and comfort food are where it's at, though.

I've gladly traded good pizza for good southern cooking. Food down here is a million times better than anything in MI.

I remember Man v. Food did an episode where he hit up three different areas of NC, and it was glorious. I need to head over your way sometime soon. Knoxville has got some pretty great food places too.
