What are you spending on dinner for two?
And I don’t mean the two of you at the food truck. We have no problem paying a little extra for great service and great food. Last week me and the wife went to a local steak house. Bill was $312.00 without tip. The service was absolutely phenomenal! Now we can’t afford to do this often, but I would say at least twice a year we treat ourselves to a good meal.

Typical meals when I go out, will probably run about $60/$70 tip included for two. If I'm feeling good, I might make an exception and go somewhere where it will be $100/$200.
If I'm by myself, I love my $30/$40 bill. LOL. |

Typically $50~60. And we try to do $200~400 dinner every quarter. But I normally find $100pp menu fits my taste the best and enjoy the time best. It's not too expensive but menus are casual and fun. But I find over $200pp menu somewhat blend and hard trying expensive.

My wife and I were talking the other day about how we have probably only been "out" for a meal maybe a dozen times since our daughter was born (not counting a 2wk vacation during which we ate out every meal). Prior to that, we would go out maybe 3-4 times a week and spend anywhere from $60-100 on a normal dinner out with a couple of drinks.

Anyway, I can actually cook a good meal so we don't go out too often. When we do, it's usually a tad over $100 for the two of us. I prefer cooking myself, because I enjoy it and it never disappoints

It's been awhile since I've taken a girl out to a nice restaurant. I think the last time was a couple of years ago, while I was still down in Miami at UM, and I took this girl out to some steak place on South Beach. Spent a little over $110, after taxes/tip. Four months and about a few more expensive dates later, we broke up.
I'm single, but whenever I do go out to eat with a girl, we'll usually just go somewhere like BWW or Aubrey's or Las Magaritas, unless I'm really trying to do something special or "wow" her, in which case we'll go to this really nice local restaurant called the Bald Headed Bistro, where the bill is usually around $60-$80 total. But again, I'm only 22. So I'm still dealing with girls in the 18-25 year old range. |

My wife and I go out to pretty serious "foodie" places and we avoid hot spots in city centers. We rarely drink, maybe 1-2 glasses of wine total. We usually split a first course, each get a main course, and split a dessert.
Average bill is $80-120. Earlier this year I took a group of 10 (including me) out to Picasso at the Bellagio (overlooking the fountains) in Vegas. Fixed price menu, drinks, etc. - it was a business dinner. We ate for 3 hours, drank about 4-5 bottles of wine, mixed drinks for a few, after dinner drinks for a few, etc. With tip it was $2,400, so about $240 a person. That's wowing customers, spending 3 hours at a restaurant that is all about the xperience, and paying the highest premium for the best location etc....and paying a premium for being surrounded by >$100 million in Picasso's work. But I would never do that on any sort of routine. I have the best food, the best service, and best intimate experience when it's a newer, more focused, more driven restaurant that has their kitchen working together smoothly, their staff engaged, and their prices set to reflect the quality of the ingredients and work. Just my .02 - and also highly relevant to your location and preferences.

Usually, most of my bill at the end of the night is drinks. Went out with this girl a couple of weeks ago to BWW. We had a little over $60 in drinks alone, and she picked up the $30-something in food we got. Not a bad deal on my end, I guess.

$60-$80? $100 -$200? >$300? DAMN!
This forum is full of bawlers' I'm single and saving pennies. But if i do take a girl out, it comes out to about $40-$50. This one time when i was in Cali, i met this girl, took her to a steak house and the bill was the highest i've paid in my life. $150!!!!!! I fcuked her so hard that night, i made sure i got my moneys' worth.

GF and I don't ever eat out now that we are saving up for a decent house. Otherwise we go out a couple times a week for cheap (<$100, usually around $50-70 for both). We also do a nice restaurant maybe 10 times a year at around $200, but it's only that cheap because my GF doesn't drink (more for me plus a DD!)
