That powerband blows compared to the n54. That's the reason why it still takes over 6 seconds to reach 60mph with the same hp as our cars... Numbers are not everything, real life performance is much more important. |

Why are some people saying that the 2.0 will beat a 135 in terms of power. I dont have the 135 but I'm planning on getting it. I thought all we had to do was chip the car to get near 400hp to the crank? And doesnt the 135 have an LSD?

On a sidenote, AMS is already working on a turbokit for Gen coupe. I'm willing to bet it's gonna be ALOT more than 344whp. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]

I think Hyundai's got a winner here. If I were 18 and looking for a ride to mod, I really wouldnt be looking at very other cars except this or an Evo.

It's good to see a carmaker heading in the "improvement" direction as opposed to - say - bankruptcy? Never thought it would be Hyundai though. I'm pretty impressed with this car.
Not only are they building decent cars now, they are actually good enough to overcome the cheapy econobox stereotype Hyundai has been known for.... Rising from their own ashes I guess. |

If I were building a drift or a time attack car the Genesis would probably be #1 on my list.

it looks very promising...a couple years ago I was telling to my friends that I only like RWD-AWD cars and that if Hyundai offered one I would buy it cause it would be cheap. It couldnt get any better brembo brakes and a mitsubishi engine. The only deal breaker is the horrible resale value. Were far from 1985 I remeber I went to the Pony launch when I was a kid....They brought some real horses for horse back riding in the Hyundai dealership god were far from those days.

Forget which mag but there was a comparo between the Gen coupe/370Z/new mustang gt. Not an all out comparo just writers thoughts.
They picked the 370 and Stang. It said the Gen did not have near the "driver" oriented feel of the other two cars. |
