Hyundai has a hit on his hands; the engine is basically the same as the one used in Mitsubishi's cars and that's no bad thing. It's a proven engine, and the fact that it's pre-existing means that modding for more power won't require owners to wait for vendors to develop aftermarket products.
The fact that it's RWD and affordable will probably make it a hot item for modders. |

Buschur Racing has one on their hands now. Jrod and those guys will make an animal out of this car. I don't think the 335i has a chance to be honest.

I've always hated the dumpy Hyundais, but it's nice to see a company emerge in the market when so many are on their way to failing miserably. It's got the formula to be quite a good car, especially for the money. I just wish it would have been lighter. But that's always the case. |

OR, you could just get a Camaro SS and get an Intake, Headers, and Exhaust. It will still stomp the 344WHP Genesis and be more reliable.
**Disclaimer: I actually like the Genesis coupe. Just playing devils advocate.

With as old as the Camaros are, that might not be an accurate statement (unless you're speaking of the new ones, but that is a whole other price range)

Sounds like a nice car, with tons of tuning potential.. the fact that EVEN this car comes with an LSD is one of the reasons why I opted to go get the Quaife for my car; and I'm loving all the newfound traction

A base Hyundai is 22k. I'm guessing this 344whp car will need about 8k to get it up to Camaro SS levels. And then, there is the handling aspect. The Camaro will handle circles.

^ i don't think so. gen coupe weighs in at 3300lbs and handles pretty damn nice.
The thing about american v8 is that they require a LARGE displacement to make power and weighs a ton. You can feel this when you drive them.

SBC's don't necessarily weigh a ton. I remember the LS1 weighed less than my poser (US-spec) 3.2L S52.

I feel like a lot of guys on here talk about American cars without any facts or knowledge, just BS.
