I own my own house, no mortgage! Lucked out with the market prices 4.5 years ago, and that, coupled with my wage, allowed me to pay it off in 4 years. Now time to save for a new car.

I was going to say you lost a huge tax ded. but i don't know how financing and such goes in Canada, the goal down here is to be mortgage payment free, not neccesarily Mortgage free. But still that an accomplishment,
