I heard that a plane crashed into the WTC on my way out of senior english class at my university. I was on my way back to the commuter lot to get home. Then I saw the insane amount of traffic. During the entire drive home (normally 15 minutes) I was listening to the whole thing on the radio. It took me 4 hours to get home because they evacuated downtown and everyone was leaving.
Between that and the Challenger disaster, I'm full of sad memories now.

I was in high school, a sophomore, three of my good friends joined the military shortly after, one of them was killed in Afghanistan after serving almost eight years, he was due to get out two weeks after he was killed. The timing was tragic.
