I think a better comparison would be Infiniti vs BMW. Infiniti puts out at least at 3 series level a very competitive product at a decent amount cheaper. Does the differences between the G37 and 335i enough to justify paying the extra money for the 335i? Obviously 335i owners here who looked at both would say so.

Similar case here. I feel the IPS, LED, and resolution of Apple's 27" display is worth the extra cost.
