Not much of a drinker either, but if I do have the occasional beer, I usually try to grab either a Guiness, DAB, or Okocim.

For those that list Bud or Coors as their favorite beers:
Favorite: Kostrizer But I can only get that at specialty pubs so I usually purchase Newcastle, Heineken, or miller high life |

EDIT: Oh man, no wonder why you think Guinness is bitter - because Corona and Dos Equis are your favorites! Those beers are so light I can down 5 22's and feel just a little buzzed. My woman and her girlfriends love Corona and Dos Equis primarily because of this lightness.

We drink Amstel/Heineken in the pubs here. But Warsteiner/Corona/Erdinger is possible too. They have BAVARIA shit in our football stadium
The Amsterdam Arena(Ajax) footballstadium has a contract with Grolsch, not even Heineken. I like Grolsch though. I'm a beerguy so it doesn't matter: I don't have an alcohol problem if there's enough beer

What are we talking about...widely available beers, I'm guessing?
Throw in another vote for Paulaner Hefeweissbier. A decent mass produced wheat beer. Weissbier in general = I also like Spaten Optimator and Ayinger Celebrator. (yes, Bavarian! ) I like the doppelbock style in general. Guinness absolutely must be had on draught. The bottled stuff is a poor alternative. Guinness is drinkable and enjoyable on draught. Sam Adams and Yuengling are generally decent, among others. Corona is piss water for girls. Sorry. Oh, and I'm not a big fan of Warsteiner. There are significantly better beers to be had all over Germany.

The big American beers remind me of lightly scented carbonated water. All I taste is the carbonation.
Favourite beers: 1. Duvel (Bel.) 2. Corsendonk (Bel.) 3. Swamp Fox IPA (USA) 4. Heineken (Hol) - but only when its fresh, which is rarely 5. Guiness Draft - yes, it is smoooth. |

Here is an American beer that I want to try. The Russian River Brewing Company always does very, very well in critics' lists: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/863/7971/ Also - take a look here: http://beeradvocate.com/top_beers
