I'm rarely jealous.. not even when my friend married a woman who made supermodels look like ugly ducklings....

but the sight of this absolutely bloody gorgeous 5er Touring makes me green with envy and filled to the brim with unadulterated jealousy. I have always been a super fan of German station wagons(yes, I prefer calling them station wagons instead of touring )

Worst part is that even if I throw money at BMW USA, they can't/won't sell me one.

For sure. The best value out there is my dad’s SQ7 prestige he got for $90k during the pandemic. 500 hp - same engine as the Bantayga - very nice interior as well and more comfortable than the X5M with tons of capability. I love driving it whenever I get the chance. My buddy’s Porsche cayenne turbo coupe GT is more sporty and probably faster but the SQ7 is a great overall package and value.

Nope. An individual cannot import random new cars of their choosing that do not meet US specifications.

Anything older than 25 years can be imported fairly easily into the US. Canada has somewhat less strict rules.
