Aremberg (if you loose it in Schwedenkreutz you crash at Aremberg)
Adenauer Forest
Pflanzgarten II
Hatzenbach
Nordkurve (now Sabine Schmitz corner)

A lot of the crashes there would be avoided if in the dry slicks would be fitted instead of normal tyres which cannot live with the forces put out at the 'Ring.

There's a turn that new drivers miss. It's a RH uphill turn which starts with a long downhill str8 coming off a LH turn.. The run off is gravel.

Not really. Inexperienced drivers can just as easily, and actually more easily, overdrive the grip levels on slicks.

200TW tires make more noise as you approach the grip limit and are more forgiving to catch an oversteer/understeer situation than slicks that are more on/off.

The crashes would be avoided by people who don't know what they are doing driving well past their abilities. Some of these people don't even have proper position on the steering wheel with their hands, or distance to the steering wheel, etc.

Most of the people you see smashing up their cars likely don't even understand what the traction circle is or slip angles are in regards to grip level.

Make no mistake with slicks you'd have faster lap times easy and more control with the suspension firmed up and naturally with someone with an iota of knowing what they are doing.
A lot of those bods that went off the track appeared to have traction switched off, big mistake.

Better tires don't compensate the ability to manage a car at the limits. They shift the problem to a higher speed.

If you can handle over/understeer on street tires, you'll go quicker on slicks. Otherwise the crash just happens at higher speed.

LOL. The cars in the first video seem to crash at not very high speeds. The E30's seem impervious to track conditions.

Looks like a mix of poor tires and poor throttle control with a healthy smattering of overconfidence.

When your tires are screetching like that and the car is going the wrong way, yeah you done gone and screwed up.

I always heard that if you're going to crash, crash head on as opposed to trying to avoid it and hitting at a corner. I believe that 5:00 proved that theory.

You're correct and that goes on the street too, if someone pulls out on you and you can't brake in time then hit them rather than steering away to get hit from the side and going into others and yes the white M3 had no or little damage hitting armco head on.

Same guys who complain about so and so high performance tires not lasting more than one or two track days and blame it on the rubber.
