Well, it has improved I will admit that. Actually quite a bit. I took a closer look. But i'm still just not a fan of the hexagonal style, which looks like they did downplay somewhat. Vs the Mustang it's a toss up of personal preference. But the Challenger is def best.

I think 2017
BMW still packages the rear camera on the M with a 3K option package. I was pissed i couldn't order it a la carte.

The price is what's killing me. $37k for the 6th gen SS, I believe, compared to the 5th gen SS of $34k. $3k difference? Wow. And Ford is has been making great numbers with its 5.0 Mustang, which has always been lighter than the Camaro. |

Who gives a crap if it was 9 liters? Displacement doesn't matter - weight, packaging, power and fuel economy matter. OHV engines are very compact by design, so you can have a much larger displacement and still be a smaller package than a DOHC motor. |

My 2SS 5th gen was around 40K with all the options/packages. Also had the factory GFX, so 37K isn't too far out. Plus, you can get the 6th gen with the magnetic shocks. That's huge. Even in the 5ths life cycle there were some suspension/chassis upgrades along the way.

As a "value" for a performance car it is very good, especially when comparing it to the performance cars from Germany in the same price range.

I owned 5 Camaros and firebirds back in the day... I was really hoping for something a bit different from the new Camaro- like a greenhouse you can actually see out of. I wasn't expecting the proportions of an e92, but come on, those slits for windows just kill it for me.

Saw some videos of the 6th gen camaro comparing it to the 5th gen and it looks damn good.
Pictures now a days don't always do a car justice. The styling of modern cars include form lines that tend to cause shadows in a picture. I always reserve judgement until I see the vehicle in real life. |

I bet there is a number of items that is standard now that was an option before that drove the price up. Blind spot this and that, lane departure, Nav, etc. I did not like the 5th gen interior at all but now this has me wanting to make a trade but I want to see if there is a 1LE coming out......probably not for a while if it is coming. |

In the end, put two cars together how you would actually buy them and compare them this way. "Base prices" are good for getting people in the door then having virtually no on buy a "Base" car.

The 6th gen Camaro is just looking plain incredible in terms of price per performance and the 2SS has a nice enough interior that I'll move away from my German/Lexus cars in a year when my lease is up. |

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

The Z4 Coupes do have worse visibility though, I'll give you that but in a 2 seat coupe with limited storage, I'd expect it to be horrible. |

I owned a 2015 Mustang GT earlier this year...never owned an American car before this, but was really surprised with the ride, interior, value, and looks. Not quite up to the German standards but a huge leap forward. While I am looking forward to getting back into an M3, the current pony cars are pretty damn impressive.
