2016 Camaro SS tests are flooding the web
Good time to be an enthusiast.....even if pony cars aren't your cup of tea, gotta tip my cap to GM for putting down this kinda performance at a 38k price tag...
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...t-test-review/ For those that don't want to take the time to read it... Motor Tend test results 0-60 4.0 manual tranny (another rag achieved 3.9 in the 8spd auto) 1/4 mile 12.4 (12.3 with 8spd auto) 60-0 104ft (With Brembo's)

This sounds amazing, but the visibility inside these cars are terrible. GM gave the car a backup camera as standard after so many issues & complaints about the 5th gen's rear visibility. The 5th Gen itself had a hide blind spot and C pillars that ruin forward visibility & they made them bigger & the side window smaller in the 6th Gen.
The performance aspect is amazing though & they also come with more standard features than the Mustang equivalent (but there's a price difference so duh). I'm interested to see what these LT4's can do with a few modifications. 11's seem easily obtainable & while they don't have a DCT gearbox the 8-Speed is actually really quick for a slush box & can take some serious power. |

Don't think the 5th gens had that bad of a blind spot. Currently own a heavily modified 4th gen and recently returned my 5th gen. Think the x6 is much worse as far as visibility.
Can't wait to see what a new zl1 or z28 brings to the table Always will love camaros |

I looked at a new Z28 before buying my M3 back in June.. Just couldn't figure out why anyone would pay that much for a Camaro when u can get the new Stingray for almost the same price...

On the same line of thinking this new Camaro SS as tested has almost identical performance to the Z51-equipped C7 Vette (According to MotorTrends reviews of each car), for $38,585 vs $60,400. So why pay that much for the corvette?

For real, but anyone who cross shops an M3 and a Z28 should not be shopping for a Z28 at all. It's like cross shopping an F250 and a Hennessy Raptor when all you're looking for is a work truck that can also drive up your dirt driveway.

I was looking at everything.. I had an $80,000 budget.. So.. I drove everything lol... I wanted an M3 just not many here up in northern Nevada They have the Z28 priced here at $86,000... (Again I drove everything). The vette is $92,000. And personally I would take the Vette hands down.. Unless it's a 67 to the 701/2 split bumper.. Camaros Just don't impress me.. I really loved the Vette.. But it won't work for me because I still have a growing rug rat Needing to be put into an available backseat.. Right when I was ready to give up and head to the Bay Area to find an M3.. One came in as a lease return.. While I was there at the BMW dealership .. I took her home 4 hrs later 😛 it was meant to be |

No hate against GM, I loved the older model, but this newer model design looks terrible!

The handling though was amazing, so far and beyond what I have with my BMW, although I didn't buy the BMW for handling, I got it for more practicality and AWD here. I have friends that insist my BMW must be a better car than the Camaro for handling, "because it's a BMW", but no way, the Camaro had many of the features my 428 does, and handled and accelerated amazing. Stiff chassis, monster brakes, great engine, fuel economy not that bad compared to what I get in my 428, etc. I miss the car a lot and I'll have to get something fun with manual gears to make up for it at some point, maybe an FR-S, Boxter, etc., but another Camaro is not out of the picture. The last version was so far ahead of the mustang it wasn't funny, being able to use much wider tires, active suspension that didn't bounce all over the place on slightly rough surfaces, usually beating it around all the tracks with heavier weight or less HP depending on which test, but the new mustang may have finally solved that, especially with the 350 version. That one is particularly interesting. I don't have "brand loyalty", if something is better I fully consider it and compare the advantages/disadvantages. |

I like all 3. Not quite sure how you can say the interior of the Camaro is ugly comapred to say mustang. I do like the Challenger interior the best however of the 3.
