i was in Barcelona in 2012 when their economy was totally shits. We were at the Hotel Arts and they had an IWC boutique in the hotel and they were discounting their stuff to be very competitive...
so maybe try Greece

Authorized Rolex Dealers can and do discount watches in the US. It depends on the model and how much the demand is. They are limited to how much they can discount them, but if they're in stock for a long time, they can take more off (like car dealers).

Some models are discounted around 10-15%. However, I don't think a SS Sub is discounted regardless where you buy it. I can't believe my Sub doubled in price since I purchased it. Good investment I say. Not all Rolex watches hold there value. They usually increase in price around January, and February. I say 3% increase. My SS Datejust also doubled in value.

Two tone Rolex pieces are discounted pretty heavily. My friend works at a high end watch store, and he told me two tone pieces don't sell as well as SS.

I bought one outside Incirlik Air Base in Turkey for $35! I think one of the hands fell off about a month after I got it

Ive been looking for a while now and the price is still cheaper here in Bahrain than the US on any model i wanted. Here at least you can bargain a bit.

Cheaper in Canada, if you actually travel there to do the deal. Got a GMT2 BLNR for $7800 off a Canadian reseller, but I had to go up to Vancouver to grab it. Brand new.

+1000 for The Rolex Forum (TRF)
I got my brand new Submariner for 2k less than an AD. There are many trusted sellers on TRF that will ship you a brand new watch fully stickered with a warranty card for way less than any other place. |

I have an independent Rolex repairman who has maintained my wife's and my watches and he also sells preowned Rolex watches for about half of the price of a new watch. He's in northern Va. You can PM me for contact info.

I saw a lot of Rolex Sub 16610 for sale when I went to Thailand and Japan. They were around $5k USD. Not sure if that is cheap or not since some go for $4,500-4,800 on watchuseek. Also, is a Z date newer than A date? Not sure if Rolex follows Porsche number scheme or not so I would like to know this to be sure.

I was in Japan over the holidays and purchased a Submariner. Got a great deal and great service from a reputable dealer.
The price is pretty agreeable with the 120 yen to dollar exchange rate + tax free sales to tourists. If it weren't for that, the deal wouldn't be as good. It's lower than any price I've seen stateside even from watch forum dealers like DavidSW. It is a grey market watch but most of the good deals are (DavidSW = grey market watches). Rolex honors the warranty anyway so AD purchase is not required.

Old thread, but I thought I would chime in again, as I am in Switzerland as we speak.
Below are a couple of pictures I thought I would share from a Bucherer in Lucerne taken today. I don't know how these prices compare to the US market, but if someone wants to do the research you can compare. These are prices in Swiss Franc, but the exchange rate is basically 1:1, so you can get a pretty good idea. Being made in Switzerland, I can't imagine prices would get any cheaper than here. Because the prices are hard to read, I will list them out: Datejust's (from left to right) 1. 10,600 2. 18,000 3. 10,100 4. 12,600 5. 12,600 6. 12,000 7. X,500 (price is cut off) 8. 8,700 Submariner (no date) 1. 7,100 Yachtmaster II (watch cut off from picture) 1. 7,800

Here is a new Submariner no date from a dealer in Tokyo. I was there about 3 weeks ago and took this picture at the dealer.
Given the exchange rate of 120 yen to a dollar, this costs $5783. All new, wrapped in plastic and with Rolex original warranty. Some other dealers will carry it for $100 more or less. This is pretty typical pricing in Japan.
