I do have to mention to everyone commenting on how he was endangering other folks. While I agree 100%, some of us have actually used similiar type public roads where we had a hookup with local police and had police on both the starting and ending point, thus not allowing folks to drive freely while whipping through the hillside on certain mountains. If this was the case then 7 of these 12 pages are for not. Folks need not always assume...

I highly doubt it in this case but just putting that out there.

To be honest, probably nothing will happen. It's been settled so there really can't be anything done unless the AG files charges which isn't going to happen. Most that may happen is they drop him if they haven't already. The vehicle was worth just over $20k and $3,100 was recovered from the salvage sale so it was a decent recovery. Not worth pursuing.

exactly. There was another thread where a guy was getting sideways on a sidestreet while pulling out of a meet.. But everyone was praising him saying how he's such an awesome driver. Everyone needs to calm down.

As crazy and bittersweet as this is, there's no reason you should be driving like a jackass, over the center line and such, if you don't have the skills/tires/visibility to do so safely.

I'm glad to hear no one was hurt, but its like; really? Canyon cruising is magical, but maybe head out to a track to learn the limits of your car before you surpass them on a mountain road.

Agreed, unfortunately. Never said it was feasible, but it should be. My real estate taxes every year could pay for that M3, but not fix enough damn pot holes.
