So lucky to be alive, it looks like the car held up pretty well given the impacts it took. I'm sure his next car will have a very high crash/safety rating as well.

That side air impact bag was up INSTANTLY. Almost as if it predicted the accident. Impressive.
From the comments above it seems like your friend is alright (neither the video or the original post actually say that). Thank god for that, and for the safety systems in place. Looking at the car from the outside it looks crumpled, but from the interior, the passenger zone is impressively intact.

DAMN! Glad to hear that the driver is alright. The structure of the car held up pretty well. The A pillar was a little bent and the roof wasnt that caved in. Suprising since he had a sunroof. The car can be replaced, the person can't so i'm glad he made it. Any broken bones?

Incredible..this is probably the second or third time I read about a BMW going off a cliff and the occupants walked away. Judging by the distance to the water it looks like it could have been much, much worse.
Any legal/insurance issues given what he was doing? |

So I guess it's the sequel to this video:
Understeered right off. Really glad to see he was OK though, that's terrifying.

um yeah, from an Insurance guy that is reason to not cover any loss as he was obviously in an "exhibition of speed" with his buddy. Glad he's ok, but damn 2 total failures driving like that crossing the center line. You reap what you sow...... |

I am glad he's doing alright, but I sure hope he never drives again.
Not only is he endangering his life, but he's threatening the lives of innocent bystanders sharing the road with him. What's up with all these douche e46 M3 videos lately? |

his car...it needs a drop.
yeah, I went there, b/c I'm gonna say it, wtf, why was he driving so fast on a road like that?! He and the other M3 were also on the other side of the road driving at around 50-60 mph on a road that looks like should only be 40 mph. When i first saw the pictures a few months ago, i was thinking, poor guy, probably was distracted or had bad tires or something and the car went off. After seeing this video, IMO, I don't feel one bit sorry for him or his car. You drive like an idiot on public roads and then you crash, you'll get no sympathy from me. He could have ran into another car that could have resulted in more injuries, then how do you explain that to the occupant's families? You gonna pay for their medical bills and lost wages? I hope his insurance drop him after this video. He should get a wreckless citation too, at a minimum. Why do ppl think driving like this is somehow okay? He's a fucking idiot.
