Just out of curiosity. What is under the one that your car has? Just a slot for the wheel lock key? or just a blank panel?

MiGs550e I was just corrected for this part number for my vehicle after placing the order by getbmwparts.com as the correct part number should be 51-49-5-A37-B80.

Did you also order it? Since it was a 2025 model, the website was not recognizing it when I was adding it to the order so I emailed it separately so that they could check what I ordered if it fit or not. Below is a part of the email that I got.

The warning triangle trunk trim bracket is incorrect – your vehicle would use 51-49-5-A37-B80, $33.66

I did already ordered it and is already been shipped. I’m not sweating it, it’s only 33$. If it doesn’t work I’ll order the number you have.

Yep it's the wrong part (51-49-7-167-548) I was looking for. I went ahead and ordered 51-49-5-A37-B80 instead.

51-49-7-167-548 looks like this:

Very cool. Lol. I just found out recently though, that Spanish Law is going to require flashing V16 with geolocation amber lights on the roof of the car instead of the triangles starting Jan 1st 2026. So I'll have to get those as well. Supposedly they not only flash, but can be used to automatically notify the traffic control.

I read about this. Living in France but spending winter months in Spain I thought I would have to get one. Discovered though it is only an obligation for Spanish registered vehicles.

What are the other two open slots there on the left and right of the key from the anti lock for the wheels? What can you also put there? Here a person with a Euro spec car can help because I think the safety triangle and the wheel lock set come as standard.

I don't think they are designed to hold anything. They appear to simply be two clips that hold the bracket in place. The space there is probably so you can fit your fingers in to squeeze it and "unclip" the bracket if you need to remove it from the car for some reason.

Good question. I was thinking maybe the BMW flashlight like this one.

I might order it to give it a try.If it doesn't work there maybe it can stay plugged in in the center console storage bin in the 12v receptacle since there is no longer a light in there.

That's a good idea! Ideally, it could light up at the same time it's charging so you wouldn't even need to remove it from the socket. Just open the lid and turn on the light.

That is what I'm hoping. Closer look it appears to be a twist on<>off so it may just work.

I am done with mine, too. I have just asked a European owner and the answer was that only the triangle and the key from the lock wheel set stay there.

MiGs550e I have just seen that you peeled off the sticker with the road side assistance number from the old cover and put in on the bracket.

I caught you... the detail stays in the corner of that sticker from your photo.

I will ask my dealer for a virgin one and he will probably look at me just like he might have seen a leprechaun.

Yes. As far as I know it's only for Spanish registered cars. They are actually a good idea. Since it gives a visual blinking light, and also sends out a GPS geolocation signal so they can find you on some remote back roads. I wish I had it in my rental car in Italy last year, when I got a flat tire, with no spare and the company was unable to locate me. Having this type of device would have gotten me rescued quicker. I can see other EU countries following suit if they see it as a viable solution. All I know is I am required to have it in order to pass ITV inspection.

I got these on Amazon Spain (For anyone else here in Spain)
HELLA - V-16 Luz de Emergencia V16 con Geolocalización, Exigible a Partir de 2026, Baliza Conectada con DGT 3.0, Señal V-16, Luz Luminosa para Coches, Aviso de Ubicación
