Sometimes it's just the kids. Both of ours are extremely demanding, the big one was spoilt rotten so he is always wanting our attention. The second was col for a while but now is demanding to be picked up and walked around as he HATES not seeing what is going on.

Basically, in a two day weekend we have a non-stop wall of noise at us constantly unless at activities for the eldest.

Most families breakdown and get their kids computers or Xbox type systems....soon your kids will be addicted and will no longer want to be in your presence....ever.
Just be sure to have them do regular scheduled chores so they can at least be somewhat productive family members.

Sounds like you guys created that situation then.. They're still young, it's not too late to change course. You can't let them dictate what you do, they have to learn that you're the boss and things are going to be on your terms. It will make life much easier.

100% with the first one, the missus was way too nice to him and we'd argue about how demanding he woul dget. So we tried to do better with the second and he has been great until about two weeks ago, wailing like crazy if we are not playing with him.

And so begins the life-long competition.

I'm glad the oldest got married first and set the bar at a totally acceptable level: In 10-15 years, the youngest gets a budget of $531, inflation adjustments acceptable

He can only wail for so long if you don't give in. Just be firm and it'll work itself out.

No dont take this advice. Dont let your kids play with technologies at this age. Find something useful for them to spend time on.

Not a joke. I believe she means it gets easier as the child gets older. I'm glad you're child-free too.
