If you must drive here are a few pointers.

1. Drive at a steady pace, and gradually increase speed from a stop instead of stepping on it after every stop.

2. Keep your car free of anything that increases the weight to your car. So dirty trunks with junk in it, and back seats full of things that you don't need there is making your car use more gas.

3. Keep your tires inflated at the right psi (this is one of the most important and most neglected pointers)

4. Avoid spirited driving. The harder you step on the gas and the brakes continuously for long periods is the more gas you will burn.

And finally don't waste your time buying those silly gadgets that profess 15% and 25% gas savings. Like most things in life, IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT USUALLY IS.

Lol I know what you mean. I love to drive and as long as I can continue to afford these prices, I really couldn't care less.

If you're gettin an accord, its about the same price/mileage you're getting out of that car. Basically it costs the same to fill that up and my bimmer.

Granted, accord owners probably pay close to what I'm paying for my car. But they probably didnt put down anything.
