+1 You can count on it in any Lexus thread.
LFA is the XJ220 of this era. Nothing to get your panties in a bunch about. It will not go down in history with cars that etched their names in stone, like the McLaren F1, Ferrari F40 or Porsche 959. In 20 years, people will say "oh yeh remember the LFA that was a cool car." Key word being "was", but with cars like the F1, F40, 959...they are still epic. |

I see 12Cs every day so they officially do nothing for me. It looks like a Hyundai super car, not something from the same company that created the legendary F1.

A car like the 458 Italia does it for me. The lines and curves are beautiful all around.
Lamborghinis have always been too "batmobile"-ish for me. Very boxy and cartoonish. |

There's not much to say on the ISF. We can't see it yet so the conversation is essentially dead until more info comes out.

Dallas has a dealership and one of the better inventories for new...still rarely see them. My bloodline is British. Maybe that is why I like the more reserved looking car that will scorch the paint off just about most anything . Just babbling while getting a good coffee in me. Nem: 12C McLaren NOT 4C Alfa ...not that there's anything wrong with it. |

Exactly. Miller is right down the street from my office so I pass it multiple times every day.

I would fork out for the Ferrari before any Lambo .
I read an interesting article involving CJ Wilson. He was accepted for one of the McLaren P1 cars. He is a huge car guy and just did not have one good thing to say about Ferrari. Not the cars he bought but their nose in the air attitude. He could not buy a new car. He bought a few used and it still was not good enough. Money is obviously not a problem but they just kind of blew him off. Nothing chaps my arse more than "better than you" thinking. To watch the 12C just leave Ferraris and Lambos like the are in neutral is not bad either. That drag area in Germany that has all the vids is what I am referring to. Track wise it is snuff too. Carry on... |

It's obviously all personal preference, but the Aventador is beautiful. The MP4 just reminds me of a Genesis Coupe. Which, yes, is a bad thing.

Well, they know what their doing as far as knowing their target demographic. Most Lambo owners probably drive some type of S-class or Escalade during the week and want something that they can just hop in and drive without issue on the weekends. There are certainly some purists out there who find more joy in the involvement of shifting their own car than they do in the 0.2 seconds of straight line speed, myself included. To me, paddle shifting is like protected sex. Sure, it's pretty much the same but some of the feeling, the sensation, is missing.

Some people like that in your face and look at me thing. I am not. Unwanted attention..no thanks. From reads. So wide it is near impossible to park. Neck jarring transmission. Ride that makes your butt ache. MPG...subjective for a supers . Lots o clams. Again subjective. And its ugly. Subjective repeat. 616 hp Genesis spider. Rides like a luxury sedan. X% less clams. Unbelievable MPG . For what it does. Unique. Subjective. Home fries mentioned Top Gear. Check their fastest Stig laps and look where it placed. If I am not mistaken, that was in a MY12. 565 hp I think. MY14 is said to have around 635. Daddy wants some of that. Fire black spider with orange calipers. Billy. I don't want to be somebody in a car, I just want to drive my way. Cheers! |

That post was so interesting and so full of information that I didn't read. I was talking purely about looks. I never mentioned the performance or ride. If you like the MP4, "that's cool". If you want to debate the Aventador VS the MP4 in terms of performance, I'm out.

Yeah if you watch any review lately of Jeremy driving modern dual clutch systems, he no longer says anything negative about them. The last episode he was just raving about the Ferrari F12 transmission.
