Cheapest place in the world to buy rolex right now is here in Canada. With our crappie Canadian dollar, you can't beat prices here. Plus ADs here in Canada are more willing to negotiate and offer bigger discounts compared to US ADs who tend not to discount much if at all.
Better hurry though. Rolex Canada is increasing prices within the next 1-2 months. A price increase solely due to the weak Canadian dollar. As for tax implications on bringing a rolex into thr US from Canada, that I am not familiar with. I would like to know more about this though as I have a few rolex I would love to sell down south to capitalize on the current exchange rate. Last edited by E30toF30; 01-20-2016 at 01:05 AM.. |

Just to add to this. My friend was looking to buy a Canada Goose jacket (for anyone unfamiliar these jackets are like $600-$900). The cheapest she found from an Authorized Retailer in the US in store and online was $750 before tax for the jacket she wanted. We then checked an online Authorized Retailer in Canada and it was about $530 with free shipping to the US and no tax charge. Anyone in America thinking of buying anything expensive should definitely check Canada

During my research to purchase my Sub back in 2012, I found that London was the cheapest city to get one after the VAT refund. The problem was the Sub being such a well sought after model, all the AD do not have it in stock. I reckon Australia would be the best country to buy luxury watches today due to our rubbish currency exchange against all major currencies.
For Panerai, Italy will be the cheapest country to get it. Just make sure you ring their AD to see if they have the model you are after before visiting them. |

I know this to be true at the St. Thomas Ritz Carlton on the east side of the island. Their duty free shop sells a variety of luxury watches, all tax free. However, they refused to haggle. I suspect they aren't hurting for sales.

You can sometimes find some nice pre-owned ones in Dubai Gold Souk area.
Honestly, best deals I've gotten are from authorized dealers in my area. It's like buying a car really. Find a nice salesman and don't be afraid to haggle. Discount depends on the watch, not a flat percentage. |
