thats the problem, america doesnt provide free education (post-HS) or healthcare. i wouldnt mind paying such freaking high taxes if i got it back in some way, either via subsidized higher education or healthcare like in europe.

The sad thing is that public colleges and universities in California used to be free. Until around 1970, I think. Now it costs tens of thousands a year to go, and they're more indoctrination factories than they are places of learning.
