The MB EQ series is so bland. I take it as they saw Tesla doing so well, and said they have bland looking cars, we'll make ours blander! And they have large screens, we'll give them a full dash of screens! The level of discounting on the EQ shows how well their strategy has worked - poorly.

FWIW, I've had a few interactions with people that unprompted have praised the car. It kind of surprised me since the sedan is generally "dead" in the US, and wouldn't think that there would be too much interest. Since I live near BMW US HQ, one was with a BMW employee in an i5 M60, so I didn't count that one.

Ok, it's not a 5 spotted in the wild, but nevertheless I thought it was funny to see these two cars side by side. One, an in-your-face, gas guzzling ICE car and the other a quiet mild-mannered electric.

Saw my first in person yesterday driving near my house. It was a Burgundy color i5. I thought it was a the new 7 at first. It appears significantly larger than previous Gen. Looked good.

I think it looks best in darker colors. Add M Sport, Shadowline trim, darker wheels, and tint, it looks pretty sharp. I agree with others that when I have seen an oncoming G60, it looks like a 7 series.

I personally don't think so.
Very dark colors absorb a lot of the contours.

I don't like black, dark gray or similar BMWs anymore. Maybe it's because I already had more than 10 of them. But I was still young then.
