I know some people on the forum hate these kinds of post,but im in a bit of a pickle. I'm in the car market. Its between a new 08 335i coupe or 05 CLK 55 AMG. I love both cars,but for different reasons. I like the 335i because of the aftermaket support that it has. The CLK 55 because I hear the 05 year is rare and that its a AMG that has alot of performance. The CLK 55 is used and has 18k on the clock. Price wise the benz is a couple grand cheaper. What u guys think? I know this is bmw forum,but just looking to see what others think.

well...2 suggestions...

1. Don't ask whether or not to buy a BMW in a BMW forum.

2. Don't listen to other's opinions, go test drive them. You're going to drive the car, not us.

i did test drive both. the amg was fast and comfortable. the bimmer was nimble and handled better and sport. slower than the amg but thats what the procede is for.

It really depends on how much value you put on having a NEW car.

For me, I would take a new car over a used car in most situations (including this one). But if newer technology, the smell and feel of new car, the feeling of complete ownership etc isn't important to you... then I guess it doesn't matter.

I agree with ChineseGuy. Test drive both--what will make you happier, what feels more comfortable on a day to day basis for you?

do you care about mileage?

do you want speed?

r u going to track it?

do you prefer style over mileage?

ask yourself these questions

its not about what others think its about how it makes you feel when you look at it ,drive it, hear it, etc.
