Audi Problems :)
Soo, after waiting, and waiting... I am in the market for making my TTRS a screamer. The ONLY game in town with the drug to sedate my addiction is APR.
Problem is, APR is the Cocaine of the Audi world lol. See attachment... ![]() ![]() |

that's insane. that's probably 40% of the current value of your car.
you can resell the parts at a huge loss, and on top of that, the installation charges are out of this world (35 hours for a turbo kit on a turbocharged car? WTF) and cannot be recouped. Plus, you would need to pay again for it to be returned to stock Personally, I think doing this would be insane. It would make the car less enjoyable and more of a hassle day to day, and that takes away what the car does well.

I don't buy cars to sell them, I definitely don't modify cars to part them out later... That's just stupid. This isn't about trying to recoup spent money.
I doubt you have driven this car, and I tell you, I don't give a rats ass on DD comfort, this thing would be badass for my commute to work if I wanted it to be my DD. |

I think it makes no sense. you will have over 80k into the car, and you could have done IMO a lot better with the money on a more focused and more hassle free car, like say, a z06 and still have a lot of money left over. and yea, I have driven a ttrs. its a very good car, but not my cup of tea. if you spend 23k on a turbo kit good for you, hope you enjoy it. don't expect everyone to think its a good idea though.

Seems like an insane amount of money but whatever floats your boat!

I agree with kenny's second point. If you were going to drop that kind of money, you can probably buy the new c7 or maybe even a used gtr that'll be on the same level (or better) and if not cheaper than your total cost of the car+upgrade.
However with that said, it depends on how much you like the car and how much you want it to be unique. OP, you are totally right in that its your car and you can do whatever you want. It's also your money! Do what makes you happy. And yes that's freaking insane for the price of the upgrade. That's what happens when you're the only player in the market....

Everyone saying " you could have bought this or that".
Lol, who gives a shit lol. I could buy anything, but this thread isn't about that, is it lol. Why does ANYONE spend money on modifications, why should a GTR owner add an Alpha Kit, why should an M3 owner supercharge their car... Who cares for the reason, it's fun. I wish people would stop with the compartive assessments, as it's ridiculous when I see that in any highly modded plan thread all over the net. Get mad, I could care less if you don't like the idea or not, I countered your post with my own. I just posted a mod plan for the car. If I wanted to talk about a Z06, I'd have bought one, but I didn't because I don't want one. A stage II GT-R was SMASHED by this kitted car... No, the TTRS isn't slow. |

For the record, APR themselves report a 7.8 second 60-130 MPH for their Stage III TT-RS on 100 octane race gas...the exact same time as a bone stock C6 Z06. With a cam, headers, and tune (~$3K) drops that down to 7.0.
Just sayin. |

For a guy who doesn't give a fuck you spend a lot of time justifying your position. Go buy it. Enjoy it. Stop posting about it and spending so much time explaining how little you care of our thoughts. If you didn't care you wouldn't have posted. I think the TTRS is an awesome car. But I wouldn't spend 23k modding it. I think that's a ridiculous price, even given the results. Someone could do a one off kit for less I feel like.

lol so true... OP your attitude stinks but i won't lie I'm with you on the modding the car thing.... spent a crazy amount on my e85 z4m which i purchased new 7 years ago.... still have it and I'm STILL modding it, id HATE to add up how much I've spent but jesus its been a fun road!! Every mod i do i then get to quantify that on the track to assess the pro's and con's..... this isn't about money or making money, its about passion.... would i do it again??? hmmmmm on a gtr YES..... or mostly would ust save for something crazy out of the box!
