I wasn't gauging you as strictly serious either. I didnt type that in any type of manner that would suggest that I was, you just took it that way.

It is absolutely retarded how this car is. It only starts "slowing down" past 230mph.

holy crap.........amazing power. Interesting to see how quickly the car slowed down between shifts. shows that even with the highly scrutinized aerodynamics air is still a motherfucker for speed.

Not worth 1.2 million. Rather have a P1 for that kind of money or a Koenigsegg. Far more interesting cars. Plus Hennessey is a weasel, and yes I would happily say it to his face.

I agree with you on the price, and I remember the Viper stories from back in the day, as well. Lots of unhappy people back then.

It's pretty much so a bespoke car. It uses the Lotus Exige cabin, but everything else is completely redesigned and engineered from scratch. There's no way that thing would do 270mph if they just stuck a 1200hp engine in it.
I remember the old days when Hennessey screwed over some customers. It's defnitely saying something that he's still in business. Typically in this industry, if that happens, you're finished. Old video from Jay Leno's garage, but it shows some details and evolution of the car. They are making changes to it constantly. http://www.venomgt.com/

I always thought it was funny that they used an Exige body because the stock Exige hits an aerodynamic wall at like 125. It's amazing what an extra 1,000hp can do to remedy that lol.

If they put an extra 1000hp in a stock Exige, it would probably still struggle to hit 200mph LOL!

I know, my comment was in jest. It has to be three feet longer and a foot wider than the Lotus. Mine barely fit the 1.8L motor it had in back...

Not as impressive as this: jalopnik.com/the-koenigsegg-one-1-is-swedens-280-mph-carbon-fiber-h-1532088783
"Koenigsegg will be traveling with the development car to a number of race tracks and setting it up to conquer them. But how they'll be doing it precisely is with GPS. In order to have an optimal setup for each corner, engineers will adjust the car for sections of a track which they will then log into the GPS. When the car reaches those coordinates again, it'll automatically adjust. One:1 also uses the cell phone as kind of a data logger. So instead of staring at a G-meter on track and crashing, it logs the data and sends it to the One:1 app on your phone. That way you have everything after your run." I have no doubt it will go faster then the Hennessey and add a turn into the mix ![]()
