mom's new ride
i went home for the weekend and to my surprise, my mom got a new car.
My parents have always been biased to MBs.She fell in love with the new C from the commercials, she went out and ordered one. Fully loaded with every option, it cost her ~$40k Very apparent MB cost cutting, it doesn't come with a painted shark fin. Navigation plays DVDs from factory. It's plays SACD/DVD Audio and come with a 6 Disc DVD changer. Folds away neatly when not in use. Dad pulled up his car to sneak into some pics. I am going to take it back with me for the week. I will have a write up soon at the end of the week. A quick drive in the 350 shows the lack of power straight away, the car could definately use more power to keep up with the 335. Interior is nice but has reminicense of the Chrysler bin parts. She has IPOD kit but it also accepts compact flash card and USB.

The new C is not bad looking. IMHO, the interior of the Mercs are always nicer looking than the interior of the equivalent class of Bimmers. Now only if they'd put a S/C into the M272 engine to compete with the N54's supreme power.

Nice mom car!
Personally, I had a modded MBZ for 4 years before getting my E93 and all i can say is that, after purchasing my BMW, I'll never go back to another MBZ. |

It's easy to be blinded by brand loyalty..... I came from the Mercedes camp and appreciate both the W204 and E90.
For those that said the Nav looks blah, maybe you should check out the Nav in Aston Martin as well.

anyways, thanks for the compliments guys, i only wished my mom had consulted me before buying the vehicle. She should have gotten the panaromic roof to hide that ugly black shark fin. however, the car does not even come with memory seats or parktronic. they weren't an option at the time of ordering.
