As the W205 production run begins, Chris Harris says goodbye to the W204 C63

Chris Harris is simply one of the best in the business.

I might have to keep this thing forever, even if I do pick up an F80 M3 at some point down the road.

Gorgeous vehicle. What a shame there is absolutely nowhere to drive a car like this properly. At least, not in Texas.

PS: why are American presenters completely incapable of giving reviews like Chris Harris or the boys from Top Gear UK?

There's always the track!

Or at least some quality back roads.

And regarding Chris Harris, he is just truly able to consistently identify and enjoy the best qualities/attributes of the particular car he is driving/reviewing.

There are plenty of tracks in Texas. Also Texas has freeways with fastest speed limits in the US.

The motorway is not a good example as any car can reach 85 miles per hour. Are there backroads where you can enjoy a car like this? If so, I'd love to know about them.

I'm keeping mine also...even after I get a Yas Marina Blue something or other!

Just blast down 2222, ignore the traffic, people and such.

I miss California roads like Mulholland and Glendora, TX has nothing similar.

Carlos Lago from Motor Trend is getting close.

Of course. My sister lives near there and every time I see someone get near the County Line turn in driving a Fezza, a GTR or crotch rocket, they seem to go apeshit and try to take out a family in a minivan.

1431 in Austin hill country. A popular drive, often called the Texas Twister.

Yeah way too much traffic on that part of 2222. Go north on 2222, go over 620. From Volente Beach take Lime Creek Rd north, that road is a lot of fun.

you can give it big wheels and air vents or even 1000HP. It is still a mini van in my eyes.

Damn, didn't know they were going to a 4.0TT in the new C. Also didn't know they made 507 estates. Very interested in the next C but will miss the out going 6.2!

I think he must've been referring to the Estate/Wagon version.

Only way that makes sense to me. Yet it still doesn't.

All cars are getting bloated now thanks to all of the gadgetry they're crammed with. The current 535i xDrive weighs over 4,100 lbs, more than an E350 4MATIC and about the same as an E550 4MATIC.

BMW is starting to cut weight by using increased carbon fiber components whereas Mercedes is replacing steel with lighter, high strength aluminum.
