Anyone thinking their going to eek out more hp than what's on tap is playing roulette. Tuners will manage, but it's not the base engine I'd want want to dick with.

WOT 60% in the front and 40% in the back. Thats disappointing. I wonder if there is a way to adjust this electronically lik STI's use to have which was GREAT.

Haha, AMG doesn't trust you to shift your own gears, they certainly aren't going to let you distribute power.

It's vexing why MB went with such an old version of Haldex. The Mk6 Golf R can send 90% of the power to the rear, and the Mk7 can apparently send more. I think the Haldex in the A45 is at least two generations old. Shame.

It's a little disappointing to see such a front-biased torque split, but from the multiple video reviews I've seen that have taken an A45 on road and track, the chassis is extremely neutral and chuckable. I didn't see any complaints of understeer, and you can find a video or two where they coax some sustained rotation out of the tail (probably by some very forced weight manipulation to get that going).

I'd be contradicting my entire post history if I said that a lack of accessible oversteer doesn't sadden me though.

Eurocharged already has an aggressive tune out for the 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbo that comes in the new A45, CLA45, and GLA45.

great video!

btw, found this in the Golf R press conference...

"he engineers boosted power to an estimated 290 hp, delivered at 5500 rpm, thus creating one of the most powerful four-cylinder production engines in the world."

thought it was funny. 290 from a 4 cylinder is not big anymore. Evo/STI have done this for a longgg time
