e46 328i sedan before that e36 325i sedan. But never went on any boards or did any mods to either of them.
e36 is best handling - e46 is the worst. e92 is right in between. |

Yup
I had the silver e46 323ci pictured here. http://www.eurowerkz.com/gallery/album04?page=1
The mod list was rather long. Suspension alone included UUC sways, H&R Cup Kit, Hamann front strut bar and 19's made for a much tighter car than the e92 Not one problem in 6 years of ownership. I miss that car but the power delivery, stock handling and overall smoothness of my e92 is much improved Now...Let the modding begin (unless i decide to trade in on a 135) e46fanatics, bimmerforums, dtmpower.net, 1addicts, 6speedonline, boostjunky |

E46 323ci, nothing but minor problems, like lights burning out, airbag going out, door trim falling, steering fairlure. I sure as hell hope that my e92 doesnt turn out to be like that.

I had an E46 325ci a few years back. I modded that one, but I sold it once I got the ich for something with a little power under the hood. Fast forward another 3 years and now i'm back into a BMW.

e36 325.
I disagree, with the above statement (1st post) I think the e90 is by far the best quality. A bit chuunkier and slower (by feel, not on the stopwatch) My e36 had electrical issues. Check engine light went on 3 times during its 10 year life with me. each requiring service (usually the air/O2 sensor) I do think that the handling was great. E90 steering is a bit more numb/heavy

1990 Jeep Wrangler 6cyl 5mt, 2002 Celica GT-S 6mt; both are gone.
I worked my arse off to get to this first BMW. I prolly got it several years earlier then I ever imagined as well. It's the only car I've ever really wanted since I was 12 when my Aunt stated getting M's. Now I don't think I'll ever want to get another car, at least if I did I'd still have to have a BMW in the garage as well.

ah - sorry - misread your message.
Cheers. The E36 was known to have some quality/design issues. E46 was much better and E90 improves on the overall design (although adding weight) Not a big fan of cars gaining so much weight. Buddy of mine still has his e36 M3 and its a great driver's car... Feels like a go-cart compared to the e90

very dangerous also, in europe it only got 1.5 stars out of 5 in a safety crash test!! fatal above 40mph, the brake pedal (obviously depressed during an accident) comes back 13 inches smashing your leg, hip and pelvis!! 335 is quicker than the e36 m3!! still half cuts it tho the old skool m3! Carlos
