the pole that looks like wood is actually a metal pole thats attached to a metal base, he's sitting on a metal plate thats connected to the pole.

He showed how he did it on the dvd. Just realized though you might be talking about the one where he leviates across the buildings. He doesnt show how to do that. But look at the editing they do to the video. Always having effects moving and never truly showing the whole area. Most likely there was wires.

Chris Angel isn't impressive. I remember the episode he lifted a cab, it was setup, even more amazing it has no suspension when he lifted it, like the time my friend got his Honda stolen and stripped.
