in same class as 335i
What car would you all consider as the top competitor for the 335i in terms of performance, luxury, and style. price too.

I would say Audi S4 would be competitive. It's slower, but from what I've heart, it drives pretty nicely. RS4 would be closer in performance to proceded 335i, but it's in a whole different price range.

In terms of "competitor," I guess that could be the right list. If I had to put them in order of preference, the S4 would be 1st by a longshot.

The new 2008 CTS has 300+ HP and is getting some good reviews.
Granted it weighs 400+ lbs more, but then again its more like the 5 series in size, much like the G35 is much closer in size to a 5 than a 3. I had an M45 Sport which was always put up against a 5 in comparos, but in reality the interior dimensions put it exactly at the midpoint in size between the 5 and 7. I see the new CTS-V as M3 or even M5 competition assuming the 3700lb, 550-600 HP rumors are true |
