Handgun Carriers

How do you do it? IWB, Appendix, SOB, 5 o'clock, pocket etc

What have you tried?

What do you carry?

What holster do you use?

I'm guessing your talking about concealed or open carry?

Concealed I carry IWB at about 3 with a Clevelands Holster has the kydex fit for my XDs (assuming I ever get the damn thing back) or my EMP depending on the day. I have never really tried much else given that I have always been happy with the holsters.

That's what I assumed you meant, which is why I answered the way I did, but didn't want to throw the whole thread off by answering in a way that you weren't looking for.

How do you carry?

No permit yet (peoples republic of California, but I'll get one soonish). I have purchased a bunch of holsters for different guns and carry methods.

I've been wearing them around the house, my shop, and training classes. So far I like appendix with the G19. I have a new Crossbreed appendix holster on its way (just got the 'it shipped' email) that will fit the G19 or G26. If I had 5 - 10 pounds less belly I don't think I would even notice the G19 when I sat down.

As I type this I have a loaded gun with the muzzle about an inch away from my junk...something to get used to....

But its the only way I feel like I am completely concealed.

99% of the time I pocket carry, usually the s&w bodyguard .380 in a desantis pocket holster. On rare occasions i will open carry my G17 in a blackhawk holster. Sometimes I will carry the kimber ultra in an otw holster with my shirt untucked and concealing it. I often keep either my USP or G17 in the glove box, even though I usually pocket carry; I prefer to at least have a full size gun in the car. When I'm in the woods I carry the S&W TRR8, it's nice to have a big revolver when you are out in the wilderness.

On duty...on my hip.......off duty, it depends on what I'm wearing. Sometimes I'm in workout clothing, so I just leave it in the car.

Walther PPS in a CompTac MTAC holster at 5 o'clock. Winchester Ranger 124 gr +P+ HP's.

I've carried my Glock 19 and Sig P228, but the PPS is in a different league. Almost forget I'm wearing it.

Forgot you are in the Peoples Republic, don't even remember how long getting that permit takes there.

I tried appendix, and it was just never comfortable to me; drawing was never as comfortable for me. At just before 3 on my hip, I have almost no printing with the EMP and none at all with the XDs.

So, I got the Crossbreed Appendix holster, and I'm wearing it around the shop today. It is very comfortable. The clip is a bit annoying, you have to move your belt buckle off center, but that has to be covered anyway.

I've got a couple of crossbreeds coming. They're pretty well backed up so it's taking an extra week or so to get them produced.

Hope mine are comfy too!
