2010 Audi R4.

I like the looks and price of this upcoming Audi. They are going after the Cayman demographics it seems. I prefer the looks of this car over the Cayman. Driving experience will be the key.
Reported. $50,000. Coupe and Roadster. 0-60 5.5 est. 280-300hp.
Price point is great. I would like to see a bit more power. No torque numbers that I could find. Anyone know the torque (est) rating?
Have a great weekend!

I'd definitely take her out for a spin when that comes out. Curious as to how much it's going to weigh...

Ok that photo (1st post) is an R8. It came from the initial photo launch.

However, is the R4 going to be smaller than the R8??? I saw an R8 in person last month, and it is tiny. Is the R4 targeting the elf population? Is R4 supposed to be mid-engine like R8? The two renderings make it look front-engine.

I pulled it from an R4 set?
Mid-engine.
Have yet to see an R8. I am a 6'2" elf.

Perhaps, but now that Porsche controls VW/Audi...I assume we'll see subtle differences that appeal to slightly different audiences.

My guess is that the dynamics will be completely different. Cayman S is RWD (no-LSD i might add). Cayman is raw, light on its feet, and has classic looks that will probably age well.

Based on speculation, the R4 will have quattro, probably be a bit more subdued, and its looks will most likley be questionable. I liken it to the TT...it's really a love it or hate it.

the weights are nothing to write home about, my guess is Porsche will make the Audi Rs more of a luxury sporty coupe, instead of true sport cars like the Cayman, and as you said, will be catered to different demographics.

First pic is a freakin R8. The other pics are rather nice photoshops (of course), and the 2nd one (the red one) looks very similar to the R4 concept illustration in one of my car mags. If it looks anything like that it should sell pretty well. I think it infringes a bit on the TT's territory though...

A profound post each from the two no it all's right after each other. Amazing. I said I pulled the pic from a set of pics labeled R4.
It was an attempt to talk about an upcoming model, not who may have posted an incorrectly labeled photo. Relax Jrs.

It doesnt matter if the gallery you took the pic from said it was an "R4," you dont know what an R8 looks like? So if you saw a gallery that said "5 series" but had pics of a 3 series, you couldnt tell. Its great to start talking about a new model and all, but why post a pic of a totally different car, in this case the clearly obvious R8? Atleast just post the photoshops. No hating and im not being sarcastic with you, just sincerely asking questions asking questions.
