MLB Playoffs 07'
Hello sportsfans, October baseball is upon us.
Who do you like? I'd like to see Cleveland or Boston out of the AL, and Colorado out of the NL. Hate the Cubs, hate the Yankees (which makes me a Boston fan by default) Good news is that the Cubs and Yankees are both down 0-2 right now, and the Cubs are currently losing 2-0 in the top of the 4th. Hopefully Arizona can close them out tonight and send the Cubs back to the cellar where they belong.

How bout those Rockies, winning 20 of their last 21 games, undefeated in the playoffs so far.
I am wondering if they can keep it up, especially if they sweep and Cleveland and Boston goes 6-7 games. They're gonna end up sitting around for a while and could cool off, just like Detroit did last year. Kenny Lofton just hit a two-run HR in the bottom of the 2nd. Go Cleveland!! How pissed is MLB going to be if you end up with Cleveland and Colorado in the World Series.. Oh well, at least I'll be happy.

MLB shouldn't be angry about anything. the WS will probably be Cleveland vs Colorado, two small budget teams with homegrown players. not like my Red Sox with their overpayed losers like Drew, Matsuzaka, Lugo, Gagne, and old ass Schilling. the difference between the Sox and Cleveland is that Cleveland is an actual team, while the Sox are a bunch of highly payed players with inflated egos and inflated salaries. just like the *gasp* Yankees.
MLB needs a salary cap and electronic umpiring. that's just my opinion though |

we haven't had a true world series like that sine the indians/marlins in '97. THAT was a world series. thats what made the Miami Heat winning the championship againt Dallas so good. Off topic i know, but i think you get my point.

But hey, I'm all for Colorado and Cleveland (see post #1) MLB does need a salary cap, although the profit sharing system they have in place has helped, it's still not near a true salary cap. As far as electronic umpiring, I could do without that, but I wouldn't mind seeing some form of instant replay installed. In the time it took me to type this Cleveland scored again!! Maybe starting Wakeman over Beckett wasn't such a good idea.. 7-0 Cleveland, still in the 5th.

I wouldn't sweat it. 5 more runs is still a lot of runs.

But back to this game. 4 runs is still no easy feat plus you'll prolly only see Papi and Manny up 1 more time. The rest of the lineup has potential for trouble but no where near as scary as those 2.

Well the scary part of the lineup is gone. I'm pretty confident this game is about wrapped up. The Indians closer is very solid, as seen the past 2 games.

Boston coming back from 0-3 against NY was one my top 3 favorite sports moments ever.
Boston is up 4-1 in the bottom of the 7th. Cleveland got a man on first with 1 out. If Boston wins this game and goes back home down 2-3, it's going to be a really good series.

The fall has been mild so far. It was cold last week but back again to being warm. I'm glad, I hope the next few years are warm as hell during winter. Once I'm done with schooling and move it can go back to crazy 10 foot snow winters. But back on topic. I really for some reason have no support for the team. I feel they gave up or something at Cleveland. So I pretty much have given up on them. Although I will not lie, the red sox having home field is a huge advantage. Due to the crowd which will be even crazier than Cleveland's and due to being at home. I hope our fans aren't as ignorant and throw a home run ball back onto the field. It's still a homerun ball.
