Single Guys....would you ever settle?

Ladies...I think there are like 4 of you here....guys,

Honest thoughts....would you ever settle?
Lower your standards?
Think for a second and then answer.

If you are married.....feel free to speak but do not skey the poll.
Thank you

when it comes to life there is either ass or no ass there is no half ass!

and hey had to ask about the ladies because you never know.

I’m 36, and I’m voting NO. But that said I know many who have.
In engineering (kicking a dead and decomposing horse) yes…and often!
With respect to women….YES….the ladies hit about the age of 35 and well…if he has a pulse he’s an option…..

^I do feel time is running out, I don't see myself as an old, single person I believe that life would be very hard - but the alternative getting married and kids, carries with is so much responsibility, sacrifice and self-control, -which I am not sure i am capable of doing at this moment.

I think it has more to do with biology.
We guys can have kids up to our 60's....though i don't know why any 60yo wants to have kids...
Women....35 and her eggs are gone.

Men can wait, but you're going to be alone while nephews and nieces grow up and other parent could be your kids..
Can't have it all, man. Gotta choose..

Think you mean 45. 35 does increase your risk of complications but it's certainly not the end of the line.

I'm in my early 20s (single) and I had better be married before I'm 30, lol. Call me old fashioned but I never understood the promiscuity that goes on in my age group. I just want to get settled, married and have a family.

I've been married since 27 so going on 3 years. I didn't settle because I found a women who doesn't want kids! lol. But seriously alot of my friends rushed to get married in their early 20s and have kids. Now we are all 30 and they are all miserable. I might give kids a go in a couple years, but for now I'm really enjoying life. I almost hate the idea of having kids, because I feel like you waste your youth raising a child, then you really only get to enjoy life after they are grown up and your older.
Yes I'm vain, but I love and enjoy my wife and I want to have fun in life with her.

I thought so as well...but apparently 35 is sort of the soft limit. Anything after that and it requires some very sious work to get "her done"

But a man...well we are shooting egg fucking fish up to the age of 60!

And well we do get better looking and richer as we get older!

I'm not sure where you read that but it's simply not true.

It was on NPR the other night on the way home. The author was talking about doing invetro from eggs she had frozen back when she was in her late 20's and how many women have a hard time naturally conceiving.
And on average….yes it does get harder and harder for a woman to get pregnant after the age of 30. Yes there are exceptions but…on average it’s just not that easy.
But there are always the exceptions.
Maybe that’s what is bringing about this “lowering of standards” for older women who want to settle down with a man who is around their age?
Just guessing here….nothing scientific just guessing and asking.

Settle? Settle for what? Stupid thread.

If I exhaust all my possible options (match.com, eharmony.com, craigslist, etc), I'll just spend the rest of my life at whore houses and strip clubs. Those girls don't age. Win - win.

im 23 and will more than likely be married at 25. Ive been with the same girl for 4.5 years and if all goes as planned i feel after dating for almost 7 years is a pretty good amount of time to know if i wanna be with her or not. I grew up fast and im already over the party seen and all that jazz. I spend my nights working around the house and yard so im already basically settled down so why not take the next step?
