Cheap auto insurance?
I'm searching for a cheap auto insurance policy, currently i'm with state farm but my rate's skyrocketing due to well... tickets and such, i'm looking for more of a budget insurance company, I've tried esurance/progressive/famers all the ones you see on tv, and they are charging me a lot.
I don't mind a smaller more budget friendly company, does anyone have any suggestions? thanks, Jon

The larger companies are often those with lower rates. Tickets and such are going to get you high rates everywhere. GEICO looks at your record for the previous five years while most others only look at three. I found Allstate to be more reasonable than most but will be moving to State Farm soon because of the multiline discount. Bottom line is that with tickets on your record, you are high risk.... to everyone.

Wawanesa is the cheapest I have ever used that is good. California and Oregon only. If you want the base insurance just so you are "legal" in California you can look at Freeway or The General. But those are pretty bad if anything happens from what I was told.
Wawanesa was crazy cheaper for me. I went around to everywhere when I got tired of All State. Then I found Wawanesa. What I was paying and getting quoted for 6 months I got Wawanesa whole year with more coverage. Saved more than half! I call around every couple of years and soon as I say I am with Wawanesa I am always told we cannot compete and they end the quote process. |
